Join Roman Reigns on his Quest to Cure Leukemia!
What’s going on?
On October 22, 2018 World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Superstar Roman Reigns had to relinquish the Universal Championship on Monday Night Raw to leave and focus on his battle with cancer. Eleven years ago Reigns was diagnosed with Leukemia, a form of blood cancer that affects how blood cells are produced and how they function, for the first time and he was able to get in remission. Then in October last year it came back and he knew he had to leave to go through the treatment. When Reigns gave his speech to the fans to tell them why he had to leave, the energy in the arena dropped. The fans did not expect to hear that message and they immediately chanted in support of his fight. During his three months away from WWE he received a lot of support from everyone around the world and this time they were supporting the man behind the character, and not just Roman Reigns.
On February 25, 2019 he returned to Monday Night Raw to tell the fans and the whole world that he was finally in remission again. Once he said those words the arena was filled with loud chants of celebration and everyone was so happy to hear the great news. Reigns went on to say how grateful he was to have the support of so many people and how he could not have made it through the fight without his family, friends, and the WWE Universe. His story will forever speak to the hearts of anyone who is going through a battle with life, themselves, and cancer. For him to return as fast as he did and with a new level of motivation, the WWE Universe now has more of the hope they needed to overcome whatever obstacle is currently in the way of their progress.
