Black Lives Matter Town Hall

This Thursday, on June 11th, The NAACP Chapter of Farmingdale State College and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council will be hosting a virtual Black Lives Matter Town Hall!
At this event, students will be able to express their views on systemic oppression. With most people still in quarantine because of the world’s current situation and with the start of Phase One for New York, there is hope for us to return to campus in the Fall. You would think that everyone would try to be positive and have compassion for each other, but the issues of police brutality and white supremacy came to a huge light with the event of the death of George Floyd.
As a result, the Black Lives Matter Movement has reignited and people are becoming more engaged in fighting for the cause by donating, protesting, and signing petitions.
Participating in the town hall this Thursday will be another chance for you to do your part in the fight for justice.
The Black Lives Matter Town Hall will take place on Thursday, June 11th, from 2pm to 3pm. To attend the event and join the call, use this link or dial this number:
