STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art, and math. However, some programs take the “A” from STEM. Why? Many schools believe that art doesn’t have value, but it does. Art is important and helps us improve our creative thinking and along with allowing us to enjoy what we do. Furthermore, we use art in architecture, engineering and coding.
Why should art be included in schools?
In schools, the art integrated education boosts the student’s critical thinking skills and problem-solving. Art gives the students a creative focus and a chance for innovation. It allows the students to invent an idea first and then figure out how to solve it. STEAM education enhances the student’s academic performance and understanding of new topics.
