Tips to succeeding in College

Hey there again!

As promised, here’s the next 5 tips to help you with your classes.

  1. Ask for help, everyone needs it

Everyone thinks that they can do it all by themselves but sometimes a little help goes a long way. Whether it’s a new set of eyes or a helpful critique, a friend or relative or tutor can help you get a better grade than by yourself.

  1. Do your best, don’t just do the minimum requirement if you can do betterhelpful_tips_on_sticky-note

I know just getting the work done and out of the way is easy but that’s just an easy way out. Instead of just doing it, do it the best you can so when you get your grade back you know that you deserved it.

  1. Study a little at a time, don’t cram all at once

I know that we all have lives outside of school, but waiting the last minute to study for your test won’t help you pass. Just set aside 30 minutes – 1 hour to go over your notes, review sheets, old tests or textbooks and then the day of your exam, just read through your notes/summaries.

  1. Create a daily routine, make sure you get everything you need done when it needs to be

Having a To Do list can help you prepare ahead of time and make sure you aren’t forgetting anything before the next time you have a class. It also helps you be prepared and be on time to your classes (especially if you’re a commuter).

  1. Have fun! College isn’t just about working your butt off in classes

College is not just about education and earning your degree, it’s also about meeting new people and making friends. So don’t forget to go to social events or just out to dinner with a few new classmates, otherwise you’ll tire yourself out or even go crazy. 🙂

If there’s anything that I’ve missed that you can think of, please comment it below and I’ll add it to the next set of tips.

Thanks for reading and hopefully these help!
