Welcome Back!!!!

Hey There Farmingdale!

Long Time, No Write. lol. So last semester flew by quick, didn’t it? So what has everyone been up to during their winter break?

welcome backWell, my break was relaxing but still busy. Being that I had more time on my hands, I volunteered more at the Long Island Feline Adoption Center. For the 1 month that I had off, the adoption center had 10 cats adopted. Its definitely bittersweet because I hate to see them go but I’m happy that they found their “furever” home.

Besides that I was helping my younger sister study for her upcoming NYS Geometry Regents and boy is that hard. I haven’t looked at geometry problems since 9th grade of high school and now I’m in my third year of college.  So this was difficult for the both of us, however, we are making headway so I think that she’ll ace it. Yay!!!

Being that classes started Friday (well for those that had classes…), I have been trying to find out where I can purchase my textbooks from besides the campus bookstore. I usually use chegg.com or amazon.com, since I have an Amazon Prime student membership (the two-day free delivery is amazing). Textbooks are so expensive to buy and no one wants to spend $200 on books, especially if its for your elective course.

So now that the semester is starting, I guess I’ll being trying to implement my college tips. Don’t worry I wouldn’t leave my Farmingdale Peers in the dark, so I’ll post my college tips soon so keep on the look out.

Hope all goes well for your first week back on campus,

Kaitlyn M.
