Noda Conference 2014

I was so happy when I received the phone call that I was invited to Noda.  I am sorry, did I forget to mention what 1794808_10200767929079540_488376593_nNoda is?! Noda is a huge Orientation Leader conference from schools all over the Northern region. Usually only Orientation Leaders with seniority get chosen to go to this fabulous convention. When I was invited I was shocked, especially being only a regular Orientation Leader.

The conference was held in New Hampshire at the Radisson Hotel. I went with the two Orientation Leader advisors and two other Orientation Leaders. Their were five of us in total, stuck in a 5 passenger car, riding for 5 hours. My rear was so soar after the car ride, because I was squished in the middle of two boys! OH MY! Once we got to the conference was when all the fun began. We went to a dinner, watched a talent show, interacted with all the other Orientation Leaders from other colleges and later that evening went to a social.

The next morning was a day of learning. All the lectures that I attended were so informative. I really enjoyed listening to all the public speakers. I learned so many new things that I am taking back with me, to use for this upcoming Orientation. After the lectures were over, we all went out to dinner. We went to an awesome Italian resturant, the most popular place in the area. The food was great and so was the company. When we  got back to the hotel, we went to another social which was a game show. In anticipation of the next mornings travel, I made it an early night.

The following morning  was time to go home.  I went to my last morning lecture and we headed back to NY. When we arrived home, I discovered that I was chosen to be a part of the Senior staff. I was so happy that I could not contain my enthusiasm, I had a smile from ear to ear. This weekend was so much fun, and I learned so much information. I am confident about Summer 2014 orientation, and cant wait to meet all the new incoming students!

If you work hard and keep pushing, you will also be offered these opportunities, I encourage you to grab them.

xoxox- Thats it for now..
