Believe it or not the summer vacation it’s almost over!

Are you ready to move-in to Farmingdale?

If you are going to be a resident student then you should be prepared. Farmingdale State resident halls are big enough for you to feel comfortable. Before you move in the school provides you with a list with all the items that you are allowed to bring. Sure, you know to bring your clothes and bedding, but here are some “dorm room must-haves” that you probably never knew you needed!

1-    Bathrobe

2-    Under-Bed Storage Bins

3-    Mini Steamer

4-    Tupperware

5-    Egg Crate Mattress Pad

6-    Power Strip (approved by Residence Life Office)

7-    Mini Tool Kit

8-    Shower Caddy

9-    Mini Reading Lamp

10- Clothes Hangers

11- Small Fan

12- Message Board for your door

13- Detergent

14- Toilet Paper

15- Flashlight

16- Batteries

17- Umbrella

18- Drinking cups, dishes and silverware for snack

19- Sewing kit, scissors, safety pins

20- Small refrigerator

Write up a checklist a few weeks before you begin packing and add to it as you remember things you’ll need. Then, when it’s time to fill your suitcases, you’ll be ready to go to college with everything you need.
