Hello fellow classmates and incoming freshmen! I am Abdulla Saljooki, I am going to be a sophomore at Farmingdale State College this fall and I am majoring in computer programming/information systems.

I am here to share the secret of getting that special letter on all of your grades… the A (or some-other grade). Now, it’s a big transition from moving to college from high school. The question is, can YOU handle it? Now, your teachers are probably more nervous than you are, the students are fresh faces eager to learn… so don’t mind if you do see your teachers sweat stains on their shirt, just politely and discreetly raise your hand and proceed to yell that they are sweating and ask them a ton of uncomfortable questions to make your teachers realize that that they are sweating so next time they wont sweat anymore! Who wants a sweaty teacher teaching you about something that you’re too bothered to pay attention to because they are sweating! I certainly dont!

There! Problem solved! Having known you, being the special one, who helped your teacher avert a sweat crisis by pointing it out in class, will allow your teacher to think about you on a more personal level. So don’t be surprised if all of a sudden you get A’s thrown at you all around.

The one challenge we all face during our times at college, that no man, women or child should ever have to face… homework. Legends have been spoken about homework, that it has driven some men and women to the brink of no return… More importantly, your teachers know this too! So, if you don’t do your homework, teachers will have less papers to grade which in turn will make the teacher happy to give you that A because YOU made your teachers work a little less demanding… so, remember that A that you dreamed of? Well, you got it now! So, in conclusion, through the hard facts that I just proposed that are irrefutable and well thought out, it is best to just never do homework.

 

Tests, there is no way around them other than to tackle it head on… so it is always best to study for them. Lets say you have a test in two weeks on Differential Equations (boring! I know!) However, it is best to relax and spend times with your friends or play video games so your brain can relax and finally have a breather so then when it is approximately the night before the test, your brain will be fully relaxed and ready to study! Cramming all the material into your head the night before the test is the best way to study because you will remember everything on the test because you just studied it not long ago! This will ensure you get that A and the teacher will be very proud of you. Ha! And I see people studying weeks before their test in the library!

College will probably be one of the best times of your life. Filled with experiences and memorable friends and moments. You’re all making a great step to the path to success and make sure you refer back to my tips and tricks if you forget how to get that A+ If you see me around campus stop by and say hello, my doors always open.
