Hey all,
I've been so busy (in a good way) this semester so I finally have a chance to post about my amazing experience on campus. This semester, I joined an amazing club- Backstage Theatre Company. This club puts on performances for the students on campus as well as the public. We performed the musical romantic comedy "The Wedding Singer" this semester. It's hilarious and is based off of Adam Sandler's movie, "The Wedding Singer." I thought it was the perfect first show for me to be a part of,...

Those Rainy City Days!

Well, here we are - the last week of school. Can you believe that we are here again? Is it not amazing how fast each semester goes by? I want to apologize for having such a huge gap between postings. It has been a rough couple of weeks and I have not had the time to post.
This past weekend, I turned 21. Even though I do not drink it was still a huge birthday. My birthday was Friday and my family and I went out to dinner to celebrate my birthday as well as my sisters. It was a great night! On Sa...

Keeping My Sanity
Hello Again! As a working single mother of 3 boys while trying to finish my undergrad at Farmingdale State College, life can be a bit hectic. Actually, it pretty much always hectic is but I wouldn’t change it for the world. The secret is not losing your sanity. Things however are definitely easier said than done. For the past couple of weeks, things seem to just be dragging. However, there is light at the end of the tunnel. I just have to remind myself that this is my decision, as I surround mys...

Now that you have gone through the process of rushing and were rewarded with a bid the decision to commit to an organization is all up to you, but once you accept a bid from an organization you just started day one of your Educational Process. An educational process is the time where you dedicate your time and skill...

Find Your Motivation and Get It Done
A small glimpse in the crazy and hectic life of Paula….
Life is sometimes very unpredictable and can take us by surprise. The ideal plan in life, for the most part, in our early adult years is: going to school, obtaining a decent job, and finally starting a family. Yet some people sometimes hit roadblocks or like me, start the opposite way. That is when selecting a good school comes in handy and alleviates most fears and concerns. That is what I found at Farmingdale State College; I found solac...

The Greek Life Survival Guide Part I
Chapter One: Defining Greek Life
As a member of Greek life for four years now, i felt like the best place to start when it comes to Greek life is defining all the terms that revolve around our lifestyle which we sometimes forget that non Greek members may not understand.
The most important word that is thrown around a lot is Rush. In the beginning of each semester, there are fliers, shirts, and images all around social media that say RUSH (insert organization here). Rush is the process where ...

It’s Time: Registration!
Well, that time of the semester has come. Personally, I love registering for classes! And also, I feel that I must make sure my schedule is perfect regarding classes, times, and professors. I'm happy to give you guys some tips on making perfect schedule.
First, I'd recommend calling your department of study to schedule an appointment for advisement. You can also go to the Academic Advisement and Information Center (AAIC) in the lower level of Greenley Hall to get help making your schedule.

A Night at Madison Square Garden
Hey Farmingdale!
A reason that I love FSC is that it is so close to New York City. Since I’m a music-lover, I take full advantage of being so close to the city- there are concerts happening constantly. Since this summer, I’ve been looking forward to seeing an incredible show at Madison Square Garden- Bassnectar, Big Gigantic, and Rusko.
This past Saturday, October the 4th, my suitemate and I conveniently hopped on the Farmingdale train, and anxiously anticipated the concert for just an hour ri...
