Back in NY

After months of being abroad, I finally am back at Farmingdale! I have to admit, it was a culture shock to be back, especially in the Long Island area since I live in Westchester. On my first day of classes, I felt like a freshman again because I had forgotten where all of the class buildings were, and what their names were. The campus was also under construction the last time I was on campus, and this time it seems as though the construction is really moving along and even some buildings were taken away.

When I arrived to my first class, it is an introduction to Sports Management, which is a introductory course that many freshman are in. Being one of the only seniors in the class, it made me feel old! After my first class, which was in Nold, I had to basically run all the way to Thompson, which is on the other side of campus. Although we have 10 minutes to get from class to class, those 10 minutes fly by when your classes are so far apart! Luckily, the rest of my classes for the ays are closer together, which makes it easier to get to class ha! All of my courses this semester are business focused, and being a Business major, I am really enjoying them so far. They are all interesting, and I have really great professors that keep me engaged, and I feel as though I am learning a lot and it has only been two weeks of classes! Being home differs so much from the school system in London. In London, there was no campus where all the classes were, instead we had buildings in the middle of the financial district! Regardless, it will take some time to adjust, but I think it will go alright J
