First, I’d recommend calling your department of study to schedule an appointment for advisement. You can also go to the Academic Advisement and Information Center (AAIC) in the lower level of Greenley Hall to get help making your schedule.
So, after your appointment is made, you’ll probably have a few weeks until it comes. Until then, check out DegreeWorks, a new program at FSC that is extremely helpful. It tells students their academic standing and exactly what classes they have left to take in their curriculum. Also, definitely check out ratemyprofessor.com because you definitely don’t want to be stuck with a terrible professor for a whole semester.
After that process, head on to OASIS and start checking out available and necessary classes for your curriculum for the next semester. This way, you’ll get a good idea of class times and professors. What I do each semester is make a list of the classes I want to take, and when it comes to my advisement date, there are no issue regarding my schedule and it is a quick process. It makes it easy on your adviser also!
