Getting London Ready

I have always wanted to go on a study abroad with college, and now I actually have the chance. I believe that going on a study abroad, whether it is an intercession during the winter and summer or a semester, is such a valuable and life changing experience. My trip consists of me going to London for the winter intercession which is about two weeks! This program is with the media department, thus allowing me to visit different TV and broadcasting networks in London. This is going to be such a wonderful experience I am going to be able to have. As my trip goes on, I will be posting on the different sites I see and people I meet. As of now, I am going to describe my packing dilemma. With all the hustle and bustle of excitement, it is extremely important to have everything down packed and ready before going away. It took me almost 6 hours to pack. I was absolutely exhausted after, and it was very time consuming. I thought since I was going far away, I needed to pack a lot more. That is not the case, a little regardless goes a long way. Here are five quick tips to help insure an easy and relaxing packing experience.

  1. Check the weather of where you are going: This ensures that you will have a wardrobe of clothes that fulfill the weather requirements. You do not want to be wearing shorts in the snow or pants in the heat.
  2. Create a list ahead of time of what you are going to bring: This will help organize your packing and make everything go quite smooth in remembering what you are going to bring.
  3. If you are traveling international: remember to make notes to your credit companies and phone company, so that they are aware that you are away.
  4. If you are traveling international: Bring your passport!! Make copies incase it gets lost, and put copies in safe place such as 1 in each suitcase you bring.
  5. Last but not least, make sure you do not over pack. Pack what you need, try to create outfits in advance, so you do not have to worry about what goes with what!

Hope this helps, and if you guys have any other tips, Please feel free to share!
