The campus community is encouraged to try a commute alternative by pledging to be car free or car light on Car Free Day.

WHAT:       Poetry Reading – Visiting Writers Program

DETAILS:  Frank Kelly co-authored (with Bill Russell) the book and lyrics of two musicals: The Texas Chainsaw Musical and Pageant. The last has played off-Broadway, in the West End, in Japan, Australia, and all over the USA. His poems have been published in many journals.

Wednesday, September 9 in the Sustainable Garden Kiosk from noon- 2 p.m.  A wide variety of Flower Bouquets will be available plus assorted veggies, herbs and greens and the prices are beyond reasonable.

Reminder: FSC’s own honey has been bottled, the garlic has been dried and both are available for sale.

FSC’s Fall Garden Party will host not one, but three honorees, as a trio of the region’s top horticulturists receive the coveted Ram’s Horn Award. The festivities take place on Sunday, September 27, 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. The event, which costs $135 per person ($150 after September 10), starts with a cocktail hour in the Teaching Gardens from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m., followed by a buffet dinner in the Campus Center Ballroom, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m.
