Information for Retirees Hired in 2020

If you are a rehired retiree receiving benefits from a retirement system of the State of New York as a result of a previous state, city or municipal employment, please let the payroll office know immediately. We will notify the Comptroller’s office to have the Retirement Plan check box in Box 13 on Form W-2 unchecked. If you contributed or received employer contributions to a defined contribution plan 401 (k) or 403 (b) in the current tax year, then the box will be checked.
