| In 1998, Matthew Shepard’s death rocked the nation. Matthew’s grief-stricken parents, Judy and Dennis Shepard, helped lead the fight to change minds and laws to protect LGBTQ people.
Now, with landmark decisions on equality before the U.S. Supreme Court, and an unprecedented attempt to roll back hard-fought rights on both the state and national level, SUNY Chancellor Kristina M. Johnson will join the Shepards at SUNY’s “Thought Leaders” event – “Erasing Hate” – for a conversation about Matthew’s legacy.
