Witness a Mock Crime-Scene Investigation
Come see a realistic mock crime scene investigation – from incriminating fingerprints and blood spatter to meddling witnesses and evidence contamination.
Led by Dr. David Byrne, Department of Criminal Justice, the mock crime scene is led by criminalistics students, to put into practice what they have learned during the semester. Join them as an observer or participant.
See how they find, document and collect evidence, as well as interview eye witnesses.
Most importantly, find out how critical it is to keep the crime scene from becoming contaminated by curious bystanders. Students will utilize authentic investigative equipment to collect evidence, document findings and interview witnesses.
And save the date for the Mock Trial, scheduled for Tuesday, 11/27, Gleeson Hall Room 102. Time is 5:55 – 8:35 p.m.
