Discussing Gender Roles in the Classroom

Thursday, 4/5, 11 a.m. – noon     Greenley Library CTLT Seminar Room, 2nd Floor

The CTLT Brown Bag Lunch is back. This event will feature a discussion lead by Dr. Michelle Miranda about expected and perceived gender roles in the classroom. The meeting will include an open forum on a recent article in Sex  Roles by El-Alayli et al., titled “Dancing Backwards in High Heels: Female Professors Experience More Work Demands and Special Favor Requests, Particularly from Academically Entitled Students.”

Attendees will be invited to discuss personal experiences, concerns, and proposed solutions to improving the learning environment for all.
