Forty photos taken by FSC student and alumni veterans while in uniform – titled “When I Served, This Is What I Did” – are on display through February 13 in Hale Hall, second floor.

Many photos (two seen here) are of alumnus Thomas C. Yannelli. Yannelli served twice in Baghdad with the famous 1st Infantry Division during the “Surge” of 2007. For his service, he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters. Yannelli also received the Student Award for Academic Excellence at winter commencement for his work while earning a BS in Law Enforcement Technology.

adjunct, and Eric Farina, director of Veterans Services, assembled the show. The collection was displayed at the Plainview Public Library in November in celebration of Veterans Day.
