January 30, 2017
The College is pleased to announce the seventh annual “Students First Campus Grants” Competition. Because faculty, student affairs professionals, and other full-time staff in academic support divisions play pivotal roles in assuring student achievement, Farmingdale offers this annual grants competition to support the professional development of faculty and professional staff. This year we expect to award up to 22 Students First Grants of up to $2,500 each across these four categories:
- #1 – Teaching Grants designed to “Improve Teaching Inside the Classroom”
- #2 – Applied Learning Grants that “Build Innovative Applied Learning Activities”
- #3 – Co-curricular Grants that “Improve Learning via Activities Outside of the Classroom”
- #4 – Assessment Grants that facilitate “Assessment of Pedagogies and Programs”
Full-time and adjunct faculty are invited to apply for category #1 teaching grants and #2 applied learning grants. In addition, full-time faculty, full-time student affairs professionals, and full-time staff in areas that support academic and student affairs are encouraged to apply for grants in categories #3 (co-curricular) and #4 (assessment).
The application deadline is Thursday, February 16, no later than 5 p.m.
The application and instructions can be accessed on the Faculty Resources web page.
