Fire Safety Demos 10/21

Farmingdale State College will host the annual Fire Safety Day on Wednesday, October 21 in the Campus Center from noon-3 p.m. Documentary at 9 p.m.

On hand will be the East Farmingdale Fire Department, University Police, State Fire Marshals with their fire extinguisher simulator and smoke trailer for training purposes. Suffolk County Fire Marshals have also agreed to bring their K-9 Accelerant Dog for a demonstration. Simplex Alarm Company will stop by with some giveaways for students. At 9 p.m., the documentary “After the Fire” will be shown in the Campus Center Ballroom, followed by a mock dorm room burn to show students and staff how quickly fire progresses under the right circumstances.
