“Take Back the Night” Rally

FSC’s final event in its participation in Sexual Assault Awareness Month – “Take Back the Night” – was a powerful march/rally to bring awareness to sexual violence that can happen while walking in public places at night.

Students gathered for a candlelight vigil last month, listening to “Until it Happens to You,” by Lady Gaga. Together with President  Nader, Dr. Veronica Henry and University Police Officers, students marched around the Campus Center chanting “Hey Hey, Ho Ho, sexual assault has got to go.” This  awareness-building Title IX event was sponsored by the Student Government Association and the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
