Waste Not Want Not
On Saturday April 12, Farmingdale State College’s Department of Urban Horticulture and Design will host “Waste Not Want Not.” The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Teaching Gardens and Greenhouse at the college. The public is invited, and the $10.00 admission will benefit the Sustainable Garden at the Department of Urban Horticulture and Design. This event coincides with Farmingdale State College’s Open House and celebrates the remarkable resiliency of the Department of Urban Horticulture and Design, a founding program of the college.
The event will also feature a CSA Fair (10:00 am – 2:00 pm), garden tours, plants for sale, a variety of vendors, and local food.

The CSA Fair will allow numerous Long Island area growers to co-mingle with people interested in purchasing a share in a local farm operation and supporting Long Island agriculture
