This text aims to complicate the concept of \u201cgood\/bad writer\u201d or \u201cgood\/bad writing\u201d to show that processes and \u201cproducts\u201d change depending on discipline, writer, and the purposes of writing. The purpose of this collection is to provide both models of writing processes across the curriculum and critical reflection on writing to make writing more transparent for faculty and students alike. We invite contributions from writers in any discipline or at any stage in their scholarship.<\/h4>\n<h4>This collection will include manuscripts or excerpts from published, unpublished, or in progress work alongside reflections from the writers on their processes. Submissions will have both a sample excerpt and a reflection on that excerpt. Together, those sections should run between 2,000 and 3,500 words.<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Excerpts<\/strong> of roughly 1,000-1,500 words should be:<\/h4>\n<h4>\u2022 Scholarly\/academic<\/h4>\n<h4>\u2022 Business\/administrative<\/h4>\n<h4>\u2022 Community-engaged or civic writing<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Reflections<\/strong> of roughly 1,000-2,000 words should describe your:<\/h4>\n<h4>\u2022 writing experience: struggles, successes, habits, rituals<\/h4>\n<h4>\u2022 purposes for writing: how does the document\u2019s purpose affect your writing? \u2022 investment in the project: how much time\/effort did it take?<\/h4>\n<h4>\u2022 thoughts on the writing expectations of your field: how do the expectations and conventions in your field affect your process?<\/h4>\n<h4>Submissions may include visuals.
