It was a dark day.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Quiet<\/span>, like the hollowness felt before an abrupt storm.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The rain started to come down hard<\/span><\/h4>\n

like the heavens were bleeding through the clouds.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Thunder screaming so loud.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Screams that could wake up a sleeping lion.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The storm captured a girl.<\/span><\/h4>\n

A girl who\u2019s heart was filled with warmth.<\/span><\/h4>\n

She walked under the storm.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Alone.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Slowly drowning.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Buried under the water that rushed around her.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Many stood by her.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Watched as she choked.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Not able to help her.<\/span><\/h4>\n

So there she was.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Stuck.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Alone.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The water was up to her eyes now.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Eyes filled with loss.<\/span><\/h4>\n

With regret and pain.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The water eventually dried out.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Every drop used to suffocate her.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Not all of her.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Just the part that mattered the most.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Her heart had frozen from the vicious cold water of the storm.<\/span><\/h4>\n
