Sigma Delta Tau: Empowering Women<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n

Will they fit in? Will the members like them? Will they find their home? Those questions are common ones that fill girls’ minds interested in joining a sorority with anxiety. Last week the sorority Sigma Delta Tau got to welcome new girls into their family which for many members would likely come with excitement and fear of how the newfound friendships will impact grades, social life and academics.<\/span><\/h4>\n

Nicole Azzopardi from Sigma Delta Tau who went through recruitment in September 2018 was able to speak of her time in her sorority thus far. Azzopardi says that joining Sigma Delta Tau has been a positive college experience. To positively impact the girls\u2019 collegiate experience the group partakes in charity events as well as fun trips. Azzopardi claims being a member has not impacted her grades as they have sessions to study together which encourages the girls to keep their grades up. Members are required to keep a minimum grade point average to stay in the group which enforces the girls to work hard.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The financial aspects have not impacted Azzopardi. She feels she has found her home with Sigma Delta Tau and it has enlightened her experience. When asked whether or not she experienced any drama within the group she stated, \u201cAs with any friend group, things aren\u2019t always perfect but in the end we are a sisterhood with such a strong and unbreakable bond!\u201d. Sigma Delta Tau sounds like a warm and welcoming group from Azzopardi\u2019s statements.<\/span><\/h4>\n

The fundraisers run by Sigma Delta Tau go towards helping people and they follow the \u201cEmpowered Women Empower Women\u201d motto that the group goes by as seen on the group’s Instagram page. Sigma Delta Tau continues to strive into another school year with new girls finding a second home in Sigma Delta Tau.<\/span><\/h4>\n
