Highlights of the event include the presentation of the Judith M. McEvoy Alumnus of the Year Award to Joe Egan \u201970, President of the Alumni Association; and a Lifetime Achievement Award to retiring Senior Vice President\/CFO George LaRosa.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration of President Nader \u2013 scheduled for the next day \u2013 will also be celebrated.<\/p>\n<p>The event begins with a cocktail hour at 6:30 p.m. The Crest Hollow is located at 8325 Jericho Turnpike, Woodbury.<\/p>\n<p>Egan, a leading food industry consultant, graduated from Farmingdale in 1970 with a degree in Food Processing Technology. Since that time he has held numerous positions in the food industry. Egan Consulting Co. is a leader in food distribution technology.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_8164\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-8164\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-8164 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/12\/George-LaRosa-300x200.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-8164\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Senior VP\/CFO George LaRosa<\/p><\/div>\n<p>LaRosa has worked in the State University of New York system for 43 years, including 40 at Farmingdale. He joined the College when it was still a two-year institution, and quickly advanced to hold multiple leadership positions.<\/p>\n<p>He has been a recipient of many awards, including the Institute of Management Accountants\u2019 Financial Executive of the Year Award in 1998, the State University of New York Business Officer of the Year Award<br \/>\nin 2012, and the <em>Long Island Business News<\/em> Outstanding CFO of the Year in 2013.<\/p>\n<p>Other members of the College community to be honored include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Distinguished Faculty Award: Dr. Richard Iversen, Department of Urban Horticulture &amp; Design, taught at Farmingdale from 1981 to 2016.
