Kevin takes over from long-time director Audrey Krapf, who retired in December.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I am excited to continue my career at Farmingdale State College by building upon the strong foundation of quality programs that have been traditionally offered at the Health and Wellness Center,&#8221; says Murphy. &#8220;I am looking forward to continuing our relationships with other departments on campus, and developing new partnerships that can be of benefit to our students. My staff and I are excited to be part of the growth of the college as a whole, and we will continue to provide innovative and evidence-based health and wellness services to our student body in order to help them attain their educational goals.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Murphy joined the Center as a registered nurse in July 2013. Before that he was a trauma emergency room nurse at Stony Brook University Hospital. He holds the AA in Nursing from Suffolk County Community College, and a BS in Nursing and an MS in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governors University.<\/p>\n<p>Kevin\u2019s family has a long history at FSC; both his mother and brother are alumni.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kevin Murphy is the new director of the Health and Wellness Center, where he has been Assistant Director for the last 15 months.
