It&#8217;s President Nader!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>President Nader made his New York television debut with an appearance on Exit 10\/55, a weekly public affairs show hosted by Richard Rose.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_6124\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-6124\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-6124 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2016\/08\/jsn.richard.rose_-300x161.jpg\" alt=\"jsn.richard.rose\" width=\"300\" height=\"161\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-6124\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Richard Rose with President Nader<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Rose, a veteran New York newsman, began the interview with a look at FSC&#8217;s Smart Energy House.<\/p>\n<p>President Nader told Richard about some new technologies that may be coming soon, and then they moved to the President&#8217;s vision for the college, student success, and FSC&#8217;s place in higher education on Long Island.<\/p>\n<p>Among the highlights of the interview:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mission #1 &#8211; raise the profile of the college, not just on LI but throughout the state.<\/li>\n<li>FSC&#8217;s fall enrollment is expected to surpass 9,000 students.<\/li>\n<li>This is not the FSC of previous generations.\u00a0 It is a vibrant, dynamic college of technology.<\/li>\n<li>Student debt among FSC graduates is slightly less than half the national average of\u00a0 $35,000.<\/li>\n<li>88% of recently surveyed students said they&#8217;d found jobs within six months of graduation, and 78% said they were working in a field related to their degree.<\/li>\n<li>The campus will be aesthetically enhanced.<\/li>\n<li>Design plans for a new applied social sciences building have been submitted to the president&#8217;s office.<\/li>\n<li>Our student-athletes are among the highest academic achievers, thanks to the emphasis placed on academics by the athletics department.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>President Nader made his New York television debut with an appearance on Exit 10\/55, a weekly public affairs show hosted by Richard Rose.
