The Chancellor\u2019s Award is conferred to acknowledge and provide recognition for consistently superior professional achievement and to encourage the ongoing pursuit of excellence.<\/p>\n<p>Almost 140 staff and faculty have received the Chancellor&#8217;s award for Excellence since the first FSC awards were made in 1973.<\/p>\n<p>Through these awards, SUNY publicly proclaims its pride in the accomplishment and personal dedication of its instructional faculty, librarians and professional staff across its campuses.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Dr. Kathleen Walsh, Chancellor\u2019s Award for Excellence in Teaching<\/li>\n<li>Professor George Fernandez, Chancellor\u2019s Award for Excellence in Teaching<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Robert A. Saunders, Chancellor\u2019s Award for Excellence in Scholarship and Creative Activities<\/li>\n<li>Dr. Matilde M. Fava, Chancellor\u2019s Award for Excellence in Faculty Service<\/li>\n<li>Daniel T. Arcieri, Chancellor\u2019s Award for Excellence in Professional Service<\/li>\n<li>Carol McNamara, Chancellor\u2019s Award for Excellence in Professional Service<\/li>\n<li>Theresa Zahor, Chancellor\u2019s Award for Excellence in Librarianship<\/li>\n<li>Vanda Bordies, Chancellor\u2019s Award for Excellence in Classified Service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Recipients will be honored at the fall Convocation on August 25.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Professors Joseph Rossi and Amanda Lavery won the Chancellor&#8217;s Award for Excellence in Adjunct Teaching.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ten professors and staff members have been honored by SUNY with its Chancellor\u2019s Award for Excellence.
