Her responsibilities include one-on-one counseling, tracking and monitoring student progress, connecting students with support services, teaching courses on the first- and second-year college experience, and working on special events.<\/p>\n<p>Erica was a Fulbright Scholar to Nicaragua in 2006; worked at Pace University in Residential Life; did media research at the Pew Research Center; and most recently taught English to middle and high school students in France.<\/p>\n<p>Under the direction of Dr. Beverly Kahn, Farmingdale\u2019s \u201cFirst in the World\u201d program is funded by a $2.9 million grant from the US Department of Education. It has a goal of improving four-year graduation rates by 20% over Farmingdale\u2019s baseline for first-year and transfer students. The program will support on-campus research and place faculty and students in mentored research experiences off campus in national laboratories, research universities, business accelerators, and other research venues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Erica Feldherr, welcome to Farmingdale State College!
