Well, you&#8217;re in the right place, because there are all kinds of venues within walking distance, or a short drive, from campus.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t have a car or don&#8217;t want to drive? Then ride the FSC Shuttle to downtown Farmingdale and the Farmingdale LIRR station. It&#8217;s open to students, faculty, visitors, and alumni, Monday &#8211; Friday. Pick-ups in front of Laffin Hall, the LIRR station, and Aviation Center. Check here for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmingdale.edu\/shuttle\/\">departure times<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Venues are in Farmingdale, unless otherwise noted.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>RPM Raceway &#8211;<\/strong> Race against others in electric go-karts<\/li>\n<li><strong>Showcase Cinema de Lux<\/strong> <strong>&#8211;<\/strong> Multiplex showing mainstream and indie films<\/li>\n<li><strong>UA Farmingdale Stadium 10 &#8211;<\/strong> Stadium-style seating and IMAX capability<\/li>\n<li><strong>That Meetball Place <\/strong>&#8211; One of Farmingdale&#8217;s favorite restaurants. Weekend DJ parties and Sunday morning brunch. Tuesday bingo night, and 11 a.m. &#8211; 7 p.m. happy hour, Monday -Friday.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Croxley\u2019s &#8211; <\/strong>Happy hour Monday &#8211; Friday, noon to 7 p.m., with $9.95 \u201cmega\u201d margaritas, $5 select drafts, and $1 off all pints and drinks. Wednesday is wing night.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nutty Irishman &#8211; <\/strong>Tuesday night line-dancing for the over-21 crowd. \u201cS.U.N.Y. Thursdays\u201d is for over-21 guests to represent their schools.<br \/>\nDJ&#8217;s return Friday and Saturday nights to play between, and after, live local bands.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Library Caf\u00e9 &#8211; <\/strong>Happy hour runs Monday &#8211; Thursday, 5 &#8211; 7 p.m. Major sporting events are broadcast too.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bethpage Black Course (Bethpage) &#8211; <\/strong>Considered to be among the toughest golf courses in the nation. But it\u2019s public, so anyone can play. New York residents get a discount.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adventure Park (Wheatley Heights) &#8211; <\/strong>From April to Thanksgiving, &#8220;hang out&#8221; at this outdoor zip-line and high-ropes park. Aerial courses for various skill levels. Reservations recommended.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mulcahy&#8217;s\u00a0 ( Wantagh)<\/strong> -Live music Fridays and Saturdays, and sports ranging from UFC to football, are broadcast.<\/li>\n<li><strong>The Paramount<\/strong> <strong>(Huntington)<\/strong> &#8211; Long Island&#8217;s premier concert hall, featuring comedians (Long Islander Jim Breuer has a monthly residency) and classic and contemporary bands.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Finley\u2019s<\/strong> <strong>(Huntington)<\/strong> &#8211; Friday and Saturday nights feature DJ&#8217;s and live music.
