{"id":27934,"date":"2020-01-13T12:05:05","date_gmt":"2020-01-13T17:05:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/?p=27934"},"modified":"2020-01-16T15:16:49","modified_gmt":"2020-01-16T20:16:49","slug":"sherman-williams-nexus-center-sponsor-sales-competition-2020-suny-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/2020\/01\/13\/sherman-williams-nexus-center-sponsor-sales-competition-2020-suny-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Sherwin-Williams, Nexus Center Sponsor Sales Competition 2020 SUNY Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You&#8217;ve heard about TV shows such as <em>Shark Tank<\/em> and <em>The Apprentice<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, Sherwin-Williams and FSC&#8217;s Nexus Center for Applied Learning and Career Development are taking that concept and applying it to a collegiate applied-learning entrepreneurship competition.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s the Sherwin-Williams Sales Competition 2020 SUNY Challenge, where undergraduate teams from all SUNY campuses will address real business issues and propose recommendations to industry representatives.<\/p>\n<p>Cash prizes of $3,000, $2,000, and $1,000 will be awarded to the three winning teams. In addition, FSC students will receive Applied Learning Graduation Credit for participating.<\/p>\n<p>Teams must consist of two &#8211; four members, and have a faculty\/staff mentor to serve as team advisor.
