And they found plenty.<\/p>\n<p>Students and RAM academic counselor Dylan Gafarian created a program called &#8220;RAMdom Acts of Service,&#8221; and then volunteered at organizations such as Coastal Stewards, The INN of Hempstead, MOMMA\u2019s House, North Shore Soup Kitchen, and Farmingdale Village&#8217;s United Methodist Church soup kitchen. The students engaged in activities such as beach clean-up, multiple renovation projects, and helping out at soup kitchens.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;While on their summer break, these students came together to make a difference throughout Long Island,&#8221; says Gafarian. &#8220;Their volunteerism doesn\u2019t stop there; several projects have already been planned for the fall semester!&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This was the RAM students&#8217; second foray into giving back.
