Cruz, a long-time residence-life professional, has been named Director of Residence Life.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I truly hope to write a new and refreshing chapter for Residence Life at FSC,&#8221; says Cruz. &#8220;Our main goal is to establish a culture of collaboration and customer service for our students and campus partners. My hope is for students to feel proud of our residence halls and for being a part of our community. &#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Cruz became enamored with dormitory life while an undergraduate student at St. Lawrence University, where he served three years as an RA. At SUNY Potsdam he took on a graduate assistantship as Graduate Hall Director. Staying in the field, his next stop was Colgate University, then SUNY College at Old Westbury, and SUNY Oswego, before coming to FSC.<\/p>\n<p>He holds a BA in Performance and Communication Arts and an M.Ed in Counseling and Development from St. Lawrence University, where he was a first-generation student.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Edward E.
