{"id":23756,"date":"2019-05-20T12:46:22","date_gmt":"2019-05-20T16:46:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/?p=23756"},"modified":"2019-05-29T14:10:26","modified_gmt":"2019-05-29T18:10:26","slug":"ram-program-students-span-the-globe-to-do-summer-research","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/2019\/05\/20\/ram-program-students-span-the-globe-to-do-summer-research\/","title":{"rendered":"RAM Program Students Span the Globe to Do Summer Research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.farmingdale.edu\/ramprogram\/\">RAM Program<\/a><\/strong> is running on all cylinders &#8211; and the excitement heats up even more this summer.<\/p>\n<p>Mostly recently, 33 RAM Scholars presented at the SUNY Undergraduate Research Conference (SURC) held on campus last month.<\/p>\n<p>Before that, 22 students went to Pennsylvania for a week to help Habitat for Humanity. This summer, a slew of scholars are traveling across the U.S. and to overseas destinations such as Kenya and Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>The programs they represent include Biology; Science, Technology and Society; Computer Programming\/Information Systems; Electrical Engineering Technology; Interaction Design; Professional Communications; Criminal Justice, and others.<\/p>\n<p>Research will be conducted at academic institutions and research facilities such as Montana State University, Rutgers, University of Florida, University of California\/Berkeley, and Brookhaven National Laboratory.
