Well, start smiling because there&#8217;s almost surely a job in your future within just a few months of graduating.<\/p>\n<p>FSC&#8217;s most recent survey of alumni \u2013 2017-2018 &#8211; reveals that 94% of baccalaureate degree recipients are employed and\/or continuing their education within six months of graduation. Of that group, 73% are working full-time and 95% are working in Metro New York, with the majority (82%) working on Long Island.<\/p>\n<p>Seventy-one percent of employed respondents are working in a new job related to their degree (39%) or continuing in a related job (32%).<\/p>\n<p>The 2017-2018 &#8220;Six Months after Graduation Report&#8221; was completed by 23% of the graduating classes of 2017 and 2018.<\/p>\n<p>Other highlights of the survey include:<br \/>\n\u2022 Among baccalaureate degree recipients whose positions are related to their degree, 62% secured their jobs prior to graduation.<br \/>\n\u2022 70% of the employed graduates said they were &#8220;very satisfied&#8221; or &#8220;satisfied&#8221; with their preparation at Farmingdale State College. This percentage goes up to 79% among those working in a job related to their major.<br \/>\n\u2022 20% of baccalaureate respondents who are employed reported annual salaries of at least $60,000. 38% reported annual salaries of $40,000 or more.<br \/>\n\u2022 32% of respondents reported having done an internship at Farmingdale. Of that group, 53% were offered a permanent position at the company where they interned. 41% of those responding to the survey got their internship through a Farmingdale instructor or a Farmingdale internship program.<br \/>\n\u2022 Baccalaureate survey respondents received degrees in majors from the School of Business (42%), School of Engineering Technology (26%), School Health Sciences (8%) and School of Arts and Sciences (24%).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Graduating this spring and wondering what the future holds?
