A six-session Remote (Drone) Pilot Certification Program is being offered at FSC beginning Saturday, 9\/8, and running six consecutive Saturdays from 9 a.m. \u2013 noon. There is a $595 non-refundable fee for the class, which will meet in Gleeson Hall Room 320.<\/p>\n
The program will focus on the safe operation of drones in the National Airspace System, and prepare students for the FAA certification exam required for licensure to operate a drone for commercial,\u00a0revenue-generating purposes. The course will not teach students how to fly drones, since the FAA does not require certified pilots to know how to fly a drone in order to be licensed.<\/p>\n
