{"id":16978,"date":"2018-04-09T15:24:07","date_gmt":"2018-04-09T19:24:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/?p=16978"},"modified":"2018-04-16T10:12:55","modified_gmt":"2018-04-16T14:12:55","slug":"20-students-research-projects-headed-to-suny-undergraduate-research-conferences","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/2018\/04\/09\/20-students-research-projects-headed-to-suny-undergraduate-research-conferences\/","title":{"rendered":"20 Students&#8217; Research Projects Headed to SUNY Undergraduate Research Conferences"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nine research projects, developed by 20 FSC students representing the departments of mechanical engineering technology, physics, and architecture &amp; construction management, will be presented at SUNY Oneonta and Monroe Community College next week at their respective SUNY Undergraduate Research Conferences (SURC).<\/p>\n<p>SURC brings together undergraduate students and faculty mentors from across the SUNY system for a day of activities, including sessions devoted to student presentations (oral, performance, artistic displays, and poster), luncheon with keynote speakers, a SUNY Graduate School and Career Fair, and professional development workshops for students and faculty.<\/p>\n<p>Students and their projects, representing the mathematics and visual communications departments, were featured in the March 20 issue of <em>Campus Times<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The students and the projects being presented at SUNY Oneonta and Monroe Community College include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nishanth Balu,\u00a0Vigneshwaran Madhanagopal and\u00a0 Roberto Luna, <\/strong>Department of Mechanical Engineering Technology<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>Cost Analysis and Evaluation of Integrated Gasification.
