{"id":1641,"date":"2015-10-26T09:50:07","date_gmt":"2015-10-26T13:50:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/?p=1641"},"modified":"2015-11-13T15:56:45","modified_gmt":"2015-11-13T20:56:45","slug":"fsc-experts-front-and-center","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/2015\/10\/26\/fsc-experts-front-and-center\/","title":{"rendered":"FSC Experts Front and Center"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Farmingdale unveiled its new online &#8220;Expert Center&#8221; at the Fair Media Council&#8217;s &#8220;Connection Day&#8221; conference at Briarcliffe College last week.\u00a0 The conference was attended by editors, reporters, and news producers from throughout the New York metro area.<a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2015\/10\/ExpertsCntrJPG.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1715 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2015\/10\/ExpertsCntrJPG-242x300.jpg\" alt=\"ExpertsCntrJPG\" width=\"242\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Experts Center,&#8221; which currently profiles President Keen and 19 FSC deans and professors, will primarily be used to promote campus thought leaders to local, regional, and national print, online, TV, and radio media.<\/p>\n<p>More experts will be added now that the launch has taken place, and deans and directors are encouraged to nominate members of their respective schools (or themselves). Nominations\u00a0can be sent to <a href=\"mailto:Kathy.Coley@farmingdale.edu\">Kathy.Coley@farmingdale.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExpert Center will make it a lot easier for our communications team to work collaboratively with our faculty experts to generate more publicity about the people, programs, and events here at Farmingdale,&#8221; said Patrick Calabria, Vice President of the Office for Institutional Advancement.\u00a0 &#8220;The platform will\u00a0 allow us to quickly publish our expert content and respond faster to media inquiries. It&#8217;s a great way to drive more exposure for the college with a wide range of audiences.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Experts Center is located on the FSC homepage under <a href=\"http:\/\/www.farmingdale.edu\/experts-center\/index.shtml\">Newsroom<\/a>.
