Howell, GEICO, Michael Kors, MTA-Long Island Railroad, and Endeavor Air will be there, along with recruiters from more than 50 other companies and organizations. The question is: will you be there?<\/p>\n<p>Well, if you&#8217;re a student or alumnus looking for a full-time or part-time job, or internship opportunity, then the Spring Job Fair is the place to be. It&#8217;s taking place Tuesday, 3\/27, from 11 a.m. &#8211; 2 p.m., in the Campus Center Ballroom. You&#8217;ll get to network one-on-one with recruiters, and if past experience means anything, you may even be hired on the spot.<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-14662\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/12\/join-us-for-jobs.jpg\" alt=\"join us for jobs\" width=\"1000\" height=\"619\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Advance registration is not required. Bring copies of your resume and dress professionally.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Spring Job Fair offers a tremendous opportunity for students across multiple disciplines to connect with various industry recruiters right here on campus,&#8221; said Rena Varghese, executive director of\u00a0 the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.farmingdale.edu\/nexus\/careers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nexus Center for Applied Learning and Career Development<\/a><\/strong>, sponsor of the event.<\/p>\n<p>Cheryl Stratigos, Nexus Center career counselor, said that for those planning to attend the Job Fair, preparation is the key.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We encourage students and alumni to make an appointment to have their resume reviewed, and learn how to make a strong impression when meeting recruiters.\u00a0It&#8217;s nice to see that students are taking advantage of our services and presenting themselves as professional, prepared job seekers.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And when all is said and done, says Dolores Ciaccio, director of career development, recruiters go home just as happy as the student job-seekers.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Follow-up surveys from employers indicate that Farmingdale Job Fairs are very popular with them, as they seek to fill their employment needs with Farmingdale\u2019s qualified, motivated and talented students and alumni.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Joe Egan &#8217;70, of\u00a0Egan Consulting Co., Inc. and president of FSC&#8217;s Alumni Association, is one employer who has been pleased with his experiences at previous Job Fairs. &#8220;We had very promising results from the Technology Job Fair. So much so that we will be hosting a second interview process for 25 students who appear qualified to meet the requirements of our job description.
