{"id":15735,"date":"2018-02-26T11:47:43","date_gmt":"2018-02-26T16:47:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/?p=15735"},"modified":"2018-03-09T12:08:37","modified_gmt":"2018-03-09T17:08:37","slug":"conklin-hall-building-managers-wanted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/2018\/02\/26\/conklin-hall-building-managers-wanted\/","title":{"rendered":"Conklin Hall Building Managers Wanted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Open only to federal work study students, the building manager job includes assisting with opening and closing of the building; monitoring the overall operation and safety of the building; distributing recreational\/table-sports equipment; answering student\/faculty\/guest questions about the campus;,and assisting with events\/programs that occur in the Conklin Hall meeting rooms.<\/p>\n<p>Other responsibilities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Monitor Conklin Hall by checking on events\/activities, enforcing policies, and maintaining safety and security<\/li>\n<li>Assist with room reservations (lock\/unlock facilities), and facility maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Provide customer service and other related information services<\/li>\n<li>Prepare reports based on Conklin Hall\u2019s activities during the shift<\/li>\n<li>Report and log any problems in the building<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Job requirements:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You must be a matriculated student during the time of employment, taking at least six credits<\/li>\n<li>Can demonstrate:\n<ul>\n<li>Basic computer knowledge and skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent customer-service skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills, and be able to assess priorities<\/li>\n<li>Flexible hours and willingness to assist with timely deadlines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Work hours are Mondays and Wednesdays, 2 &#8211; 6 p.m. (8 hours\/week) or Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3 &#8211; 6 p.m. (6 hours\/week).
