Image after image, the viewer is engulfed by scenes of war, crisis, politics and natural disasters. Her varied topics include time in Iraq and Syria, a societal response to the U.S. presidential campaign and election, the refugee crisis, and her visit to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria.<\/p>\n<p>The show is curated by Memorial Gallery director Beth Giacummo.<\/p>\n<p>Crabapple lives in New York. <em>Brothers of the Gun<\/em>, her illustrated collaboration with Syrian war journalist Marwan Hisham, will be published by Random House later this year.<\/p>\n<p>A lecture by the artist will take place Tuesday, 2\/13, 11 a.m. &#8211; noon, in Gleeson Hall 104. Later that day, from 5 &#8211; 7 p.m. in Hale Hall, there will be a reception and book signing. Gallery hours are Monday &#8211; Friday, 9 a.m. &#8211; 4 p.m.\u00a0 Admission is free, and the gallery is accessible to persons with mobility impairments.
