The work melds organic and mechanical forms, and resonates with sound, movement, and emotion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Allison Puff, professor of visual communications and associate dean of the School of Business, observed: \u201cWe look forward to all the ways this piece will engage students and help them to embrace an understanding of culture, aesthetics, and diversity.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Theresa M. Santmann, who commissioned the painting, was also on hand.\u00a0 Dr. Keen noted that Ms. Santmann has been a frequent and generous contributor to FSC projects, noting her funding for the redesign of the interior of Gleeson Hall and the rescue dog sculpture in front of Horton Hall.<\/p>\n<p>Professor Schidlovsky began his career as an illustrator at the Parson\u2019s School of Design. Over three decades his work has grown to include fine art and graphic design, and commissions by major companies such as Cablevision, IBM, Adobe, Harper &amp; Rowe, and Smithsonian magazine.
