Ench Teaching Gardens and the Department of Urban Horticulture and Design. Continuing Education credits are available to industry professionals.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Iversen, a SUNY Chancellor&#8217;s Award winner and recipient of FSC&#8217;s Distinguished Faculty Award, joined the College in 1981. Says Dr. Jonathan Lehrer, department chair: &#8220;Richard\u2019s dedication and hard work completely revolutionized the Robert F. Ench Teaching Gardens, making them the showplace for learning and community outreach that they are today.\u00a0Richard\u2019s retirement leaves a void at Farmingdale and the Horticulture Department that will not easily be filled.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_11629\" style=\"width: 216px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-11629\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-11629 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.farmingdale.edu\/sites\/campus-times\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2017\/07\/Fogelberg_Paul-206x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"206\" height=\"300\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-11629\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Professor Paul Fogelberg<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Professor Fogelberg was a faculty member for more than 35 years. In addition to his academic activities\u00a0 he is an authority on bonsai plants, and active in local enthusiast societies. &#8220;Paul has been a driving force in the professional lives of hundreds of landscape design graduates who have gone on to successful careers in the local and regional industry. His passion radiates and inspires,&#8221; says Dr. Lehrer.<\/p>\n<p>Guest speakers include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stephen F. Byrns, founding partner of BKSK Architects, and founder and president, Untermyer Gardens and Conservancy<\/li>\n<li>Lynden B.
