My vibrant hope faded dim, and I nearly felt like giving up. But something tugged at my core, reminding me that I have worked hard, and all it would take is one &#8216;yes&#8217; to pave my path for post-graduation. In February, I was suddenly approached by a recruiter from Google through a LinkedIn offering. The offer was for their Information Technology Residency Program that Google begins in July. I immediately took interest, and began completing the strenuous, detail-oriented interviews. I went through three phone calls and three Google hang-out (video) interviews. After thanking them for the feedback and opportunity, I ended those calls feeling like I didn\u2019t get the position. I was ecstatic to receive word in April that I was accepted into the program.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Aquino is an international student from the Dominican Republic, which awarded him a full scholarship to attend FSC. He earned a\u00a0degree in Computer Programming and Information Systems; served as an SGA Senator; and was a member of the Men\u2019s Cross Country and Track and Field teams.
