July 18, 2016
FSC’s Experts Center – a website list of 24 deans, faculty and staff who are making their expertise known to the media – was publicly launched last week, and the reviews from the media are in!
“You really got my attention with experts in tattoos, roller coasters, and grammar,” said Patricia Kitchen, Newsday.
“Outstanding idea. Great job. Will definitely hold onto this,” Doug Geed, News 12.
“This is GREAT!” Beth Whitehouse, Newsday.
“Thanks for putting this together,” Spencer Rumsey, Long Island Press.
Every School is represented, by departments such as Biology, English/Humanities, Criminal Justice, Sport Management, Business Management, Architecture and Construction Management, Aviation, Nursing, and many more. But we won’t be satisfied until at least one faculty member in every department in every school is participating.
That’s where you come in. At some point, a reporter is going to want to interview someone in your field. Why not let it be you? Joining Experts Center is easy. All it takes is a call or email to Peter Crescenti, media relations manager, Office for Institutional Advancement, at x6381 or crescepf@farmingdale.edu. What he’ll need from you is your latest CV and bio, followed by a brief meeting at which you will see your web page and review your information.
