Mentor Training

The NY State Mentoring Program will offer a training session for the NYS Mentoring Program on Thursday, 5/26 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm in Roosevelt Hall – Room 111.

Mentors will take part in an interactive training which features small group discussion, role play, and demonstrations. This training will support participants’ understanding of mentoring best practices and the program’s school- based model. Program policies and expectations will be reviewed and program representatives will answer questions and offer mentor support. This will be the beginning of a collaborative relationship among the program staff, the school and the mentors.

New mentors are encouraged to attend even if they have not yet signed up to become a mentor. The New York State Mentoring Program welcomes you.
