Business Plan Competition Winners on to LI Regional

Four teams engaged last month in the School of Business’s annual Business Plan Competition, and two of them are going to the LI  Regional, where they will go up against teams from Hofstra, Stony Brook, Old Westbury, and NYIT.
The $500 prize went to Andrew Tocci ’20 (Business Management) for his idea, Craft Cannoli. Event Central – which won $350 – was a project designed by Bahia Benabbbad ’22 (Business Management), and Alexander Bennett ’22 (Computer Systems).
The Business Plan Competition is a “pitch” event where students create a business model, then present their ideas to a panel of judges, with the goal of winning cash prizes for their business. Rather than the usual in-person presentations, this year’s event was a digital competition.
