School of Engineering Technology Has New Assistant Dean

Dr. Bahar Zoghi has been named Assistant Dean of the School of Engineering Technology. She previously served three years as Acting Assistant Dean.
Dr. Zoghi arrived at FSC in 2008, and is an associate professor in the Department of Architectural and Construction Management Engineering Technology.
She has been instrumental in the development of FSC’s proposed Technology Education and Civil Engineering Technology programs. Her research interests include creating a sustainable environment, including renewable energy, green buildings, wind energy, and water efficiency. Dr. Zoghi is a professional engineer with more than nine years’ experience in the private sector. She is an LEED accredited professional, and holds building and envelope certification from the Performance Institute. In addition, she is a program evaluator with ABET, and has extensive accreditation experience.
Dr. Zoghi’s passion is to increase the number of females in the engineering field and other STEM areas of study. She has been chair of judging for student presentations at many FSC STEM Diversity Summits and chaired the 2019 Summit.
