Athletics Dept. Wins FSC Softball Championship

Athletics rallied over the last seven innings and posted a narrow 17-3 victory over the TerminNaders to capture the Summer Softball Tournament Championship.

President Nader pitched brilliantly, but two home runs by Vinny Sanquini and one by Brendan Twomey provided Athletics with the edge in the come-from-ahead victory.

Athletics earned the right to possess the championship trophy for one year.

Gus Attonis was named Winning Team MVP and Vice President Greg O’ Connor was selected Losing Team MVP. Nicole Miller was named Most Improved Player.

It was Athletics’ first title in the tournament. The TermiNaders advanced to the championship game for the second straight year. A record nine teams participated in this year’s tournament.
